The municipality of Seftigen is located in the upper Gürbetal. The village lies on the terminal moraine hill of the Belpberg, nestled between the mountain forest to the north and the Widerhub to the south. Seftigen extends from the Wyssbach to the Allmend area. The municipality covers an area of around 4 km2 and is situated at 578 meters above sea level. Neighboring municipalities are Uetendorf, Burgistein, Gurzelen, and Noflen. Politically, Seftigen belongs to the Thun administrative district.
The municipality is located on the S4 and S44 railway lines with direct connections to Thun and Bern. The distance to Thun is about 10 km and to Bern about 25 km.
The Thun-North motorway access is reachable in about 5 minutes by car.
At Seftigen School, around 160 students are taught in 9 classes.
They are divided into 2 kindergarten, 5 primary, and 2 mixed-age real classes.

Tasks
Teaching and class teacher for a 1st-3rd grade class: 15 - 17 lessons + 2.5% class teacher (job share):
Teaching in the class (planned Monday, Tuesday, Friday) with support from the special education teacher
Collaboration with the job share partner, the class teacher of the parallel class, the special education teacher
Participation in Cycle 1 and the teaching staff
Requirements
- Primary teaching certificate / Bachelor of Arts in Primary Education
- Enjoy working with children and parents
- Positive attitude towards heterogeneous classes
- Teamwork skills: willingness to collaborate in the team/staff
- Participation in school activities, meetings as agreed
