Job description
The EMS Le Nouveau Prieuré is an establishment located in Chêne-Bougeries accommodating 144 residents in single rooms. Nearby, there is a nursery, a student residence, a home for people with multiple disabilities, and rental apartments, all around a village square: the Nouveau Prieuré.
Profile sought
Qualified animator at 80%
(according to irregular hours, including weekends, public holidays and evenings)
Mission
- support residents through collective and individual activities allowing development socially, politically, culturally and in leisure as well as their autonomy;
- contribute to defining the animation policy at the sector level, taking into account the institutional project, the residents and the evolution of their needs;
- design, as a team, an activity programme adapted to the desires and needs of each resident;
- develop and implement tools adapted to residents with cognitive disorders and communication difficulties;
- conduct activities in coordination with professionals from other sectors to ensure coherence of the resident’s support project, from their entry to the EMS until their death;
- as a referent, participate in key stages of the resident’s support project.
Expected profile
- Federal Certificate of Competence (CFC) as socio-educational assistant or equivalent qualification or animator training in gerontology with certificate or CFC in a field useful for animation complemented by at least 3 years of professional experience;
- sensitivity to cognitive disorders and communication difficulties;
- ability to adapt activities to the needs, wishes and resources of residents;
- listening skills, respect and individualised support;
- coordination skills and organisational sense;
- ability to work interdisciplinarily;
- ability to collaborate with relatives, care teams and other EMS sectors;
- ability to use different communication modes depending on the interlocutors;
- ability to document actions taken and ensure follow-up in institutional tools;
- proficiency in IT tools;
- respect for institutional values, ethical rules and internal procedures.

Working hours
Hours are irregular, including weekends, public holidays and evenings.
