Automation Technician EFZ Apprentice from August 2026 Laufen BL

The Zurich Brickworks offer ceramic solutions for the entire building envelope. For over 150 years, we have made living more natural and building easier with our clay building materials. From a simple raw material, we develop sophisticated systems for roofs, walls, and facades. Since 2020, we have been part of the swisspor Group.

In cooperation with the training center "aprentas," we are training a motivated Automation Technician EFZ apprentice from August 2026.

Your tasks

Automation technicians build, program, and maintain electrical controls, machines, and automation systems
Detecting and fixing malfunctions and errors in electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic components is an important part of the work.
You work in maintenance, production, and commissioning and create technical documents
Your expertise ensures that production facilities run smoothly or traffic light systems function reliably

You bring

For this position, we are looking for a motivated, interested, and committed personality with good manners and the following additional qualifications:

Technical interest, flair for mathematics and physics, logical thinking, and manual skills
School requirements: Completion of secondary school at the extended level of the district school or another higher school level
Curiosity, patience, and joy in finding solutions
Very good oral and written German skills

What we offer you

In the first 9 months of your training, you will learn the exciting basics of automation together with other apprentices at our training partner aprentas.

Afterwards, you can apply your knowledge practically with us in the Laufen plant, learn new things, and really get started.

If you wish, you have the opportunity to complete the BMS alongside your job.

You can expect a 40-hour week with generous vacation arrangements for plenty of free time and relaxation.

Throughout your apprenticeship, a dedicated contact person will support and accompany you.
