Accounting Clerk (m/f/d) – Temporary (3 months with option to extend)

Location: Basel Region (near Stücki / border area D-CH)

Workload: 100% (on-site presence)

About our client company

For our valued client – a dynamic and well-established company in the Basel area (near Stücki Park) – we are looking for a committed, numbers-savvy and independent personality in finance and accounting starting early January 2027. To manage the busy peak season (focus January/February), you will support the experienced team initially for three months with a genuine option for an extension.

Your main tasks

• Operational accounting: Independent management and supervision of accounts receivable and accounts payable in the Sage ERP system.

• Financial statement preparation: Active and competent participation in interim and annual financial statements.

• Tax matters: Supportive involvement in the preparation and creation of tax returns for legal entities.

• Payment transactions & dunning: Monitoring incoming payments, executing payment runs and reconciling accounts.

• Team support: Close collaboration and relief of the core team during the seasonal peak period.

Your profile

• Education: Commercial basic training (EFZ) with solid further education in finance and accounting (e.g. accounting clerk).

• Professional experience: Several years of solid practical experience in operational accounting (accounts payable/receivable) and experience in financial statement preparation is an advantage.

• Software skills: Solid and confident user knowledge of the Sage accounting software is desirable; proficient use of MS Excel.

• Working style: Precise, reliable and structured working method with high resilience during peak times.

• Availability: Available from January 2027 for a full 100% on-site commitment.
