Job description
Nursing home located in Chêne-Bougerie accommodating 144 residents in single rooms; on the same site, there is also a nursery, a residence for students, a home for people with disabilities, and rental apartments that complement it and are organised around a village square to encourage meetings and community life.
We wish to hire, for a start date to be agreed upon, a:
Responsible Animator at 80-100%
Your main duties
- Carry out animation activities
- Ensure the operation of the animation service.
- Manage, coordinate and supervise the animations.
- Control and promote the quality of animations within an intergenerational structure.
- Contribute to creating a dynamic that allows residents and their relatives to experience the change represented by entering the nursing home in a caring and secure atmosphere.
- Ensure the resident's adaptation within the establishment with respect and consideration of their experience.
- Lead, animate and supervise the animation team, encouraging collaboration with other services and sectors.
- Coordinate the interventions of internal and external providers.
- Ensure the maintenance and development of the professional skills of your collaborators.
- Contribute to the development of activities in the apartments and the skills of the apartment animation team.
The responsible animator supports the resident through collective and individual animations allowing development socially, politically, culturally, and in terms of autonomy. The forms of support implemented are not necessarily spectacular but seek a personalised response through subtlety.
Profile sought
Education
- Bachelor's degree in social work, preferably with a focus on socio-cultural animation, or a diploma deemed equivalent.
Experience
- At least 5 years' practice as a qualified animator.
- Good knowledge of the Geneva socio-cultural network linked to medico-social establishments is an asset.
- Experience in a geriatric environment is desirable.
- Experience in team management.
- Ability to work interdisciplinarily to ensure the coherence of animation by anticipating its impact on other services and promoting participation from different sectors.
Working hours
The responsible animator works irregular hours, including weekends, public holidays, and evenings.
