Trustee 50% - for a Pharma SME in the Zurich Lowlands

Initial Situation

Would you like to work in a Pharma SME where you independently manage your finance department and work directly with the management? For our client, we are looking for an experienced individual who enjoys independently leading a versatile finance department while contributing their own ideas. You will work in a small team with short decision-making paths and take on a central role with a long-term perspective.

Tasks

• Independent management of financial accounting and preparation of annual financial statements according to OR
• Responsibility for debtors including dunning as well as creditors and payment transactions
• Preparation and support of audits and contact person for the audit office
• Planning and control of liquidity
• Handling of currency transactions (spot and forwards)
• Coordination of tax matters and cooperation with external partners and authorities
• Processing of VAT, transfer pricing as well as state and municipal taxes
• Preparation and support of tax audits
• Management of personnel administration including entries and exits, employment contracts, holidays, absences and time recording
• Responsibility for payroll accounting and social security accounting
• Preparation of salary certificates and processing of expenses

Requirements

• Commercial basic training with further education in finance and accounting or comparable qualification
• Several years of experience in a comparable role, ideally as a sole accountant in an SME or as a trustee
• Confident in closing accounts and familiar with Swiss VAT and tax issues
• Independent, structured and reliable way of working
• Discretion and careful handling of confidential information
• Interest in a long-term collaboration

Here you are solely responsible for the finance department and are in direct contact with management. The entry is accompanied by the previous incumbent, who will still support the 2026 annual financial statement and enable a structured handover.
