Profile
The Intensive Medicine service of Sottoceneri consists of the intensive medicine departments of Lugano (16 beds) and Mendrisio (6 beds).
The intensive medicine service of the Regional Hospital of Lugano is the only department in the Canton recognized by the FMH as a category A training center, awarded for two consecutive years (2014, 2015, and 2019) with the prestigious SIWF-Award of the FMH for its particular commitment in the training field.
Essential requirements:
- degree/diploma in medicine and surgery. For doctors with foreign qualifications: recognition by the Federal Commission for Medical Professions MEBEKO and registration with MedReg is mandatory before starting the activity
- proven knowledge of the Italian language (required level at least B2), with registration with MedReg before starting the activity, knowledge of another national language and English is desirable
- work experience in intensive medicine, internal medicine, or anesthesiology departments
- strong availability and propensity for teamwork
- constructive and proactive attitude
- proficiency in IT tools
- available to work for 6 months in Lugano and for 6 months in Mendrisio.
