Company Description
The Official Youth Foundation (FOJ) aims to promote the psycho-social development of children, adolescents and young people in difficulty, in collaboration with parents and partner institutions. Bound by a service contract with the State of Geneva, the FOJ is committed to the protection and defence of the interests of the child.
Serving the families of the canton, it operates through four main areas of action: child welfare , emergency reception , family support and preparation for autonomy .
To fulfil its mission, the institution manages 47 facilities across the Canton of Geneva. It has more than 500 places for minors and young adults, and also offers outpatient educational services at home. The FOJ currently employs 670 staff dedicated to serving young people and their families.
To successfully carry out its mission, the FOJ is looking for two qualified educators for its residence L'Escale , a boarding house with 11 places for adolescents aged 13 to 18.
Job Description
Care, support and guidance for residents living in the home, in close collaboration with the educational team.
Close collaboration with placement services, the health network and the family to ensure comprehensive and appropriate follow-up.
Support for parenting.
Irregular working hours depending on the needs of the young people and the organisation of the home.
Work rate: 80 to 90%
Contract start: 1st September 2026
Contract type: Permanent contract
Grade: 13 or 15 according to the salary scale of the State of Geneva

Qualifications
Training:
Bachelor in social work – University of Applied Sciences of Social Work (HETS), or
Qualified social educator – Higher School (ES), or
University Bachelor – FAPSE degree completed by one year of full-time professional practice in a boarding school or IGE, or
Bachelor in nursing.
Foreign diplomas must have SEFRI recognition or an official equivalence.
Experience:
Significant experience with adolescents in difficulty is essential. Flexibility and the ability to adapt quickly to diverse populations are expected.
Professional skills:
Ability to ensure autonomy and responsibility in supporting young people and their families
Team spirit, initiative and ability to collaborate with various internal and external partners
Strong knowledge of the Geneva social network
Excellent writing skills in French.
Additional Information
Must be Swiss nationality or hold a valid work permit.
Must have a driving licence (B).
