Linden, widely known for its ski lift and motocross, is home to nearly 1300 inhabitants and lies on the border between the Aare and Emmental regions. At the Dorf school building, almost 100 children attend classes in four primary and one secondary class, while the kindergarten is located in the Jassbach school building, about 2 km from the village school building. The classes are taught in mixed groups 1st-3rd A/B, 4th-6th A/B and 7th-9th by 15 teachers.

Tasks
From the 2027/28 school year, we are looking to complement our team with an independent and committed secondary level I teacher or a person training to become a secondary level I teacher.
The position is expected to comprise 5 to 7 lessons per week, spread over two to three half days. Teaching will be in a mixed-age secondary class (7th, 8th and 9th school year) with approximately 20 learners.
The subjects to be taught are still being planned and are not yet definitively fixed. From today’s perspective, the focus is likely to be in the following areas:
• German (approx. 3 lessons)
• History/Geography/Civics (2 lessons)
• Depending on workload design and need, an additional IVE lesson in the linguistic support area can be taken on.
Depending on the profile, qualifications and interests of the future teacher, assignments in other subjects are also conceivable, for example in music or sport.
For deployment in physical education, a valid basic pool swimming certificate is required. Swimming lessons are regularly conducted with the class in the outdoor pool during one term. In addition, a visit to the indoor pool is part of the annual programme during the winter sports camp.
Since the timetable for the coming school year is still being developed, the exact employment level as well as the subject allocation and teaching days are still open. These can be discussed together and, if possible, flexibly adapted to the needs of the future teacher and the school.
Another special feature of the position is that additional lessons can be taken on during the two school weeks before the autumn holidays 2027 as part of a substitution. The class teacher of the secondary class will be taking a service anniversary gift during this time, which may temporarily increase the employment scope.

• If sport is taught: a valid SLRG Basic Pool certificate for swimming
