Controller in Accounting (Fixed-term until 31.03.2028) 80 - 100%Good for life – that is our motto. As part of the Education Directorate of the Canton of Zurich, the Office for Youth and Career Counselling is responsible for services in the area of child and youth welfare as well as career counselling.
For the Finance Department, we are looking for an initiative individual from 1 July or by arrangement, who will play a key role in the efficient completion of the wide-ranging tasks. As a Controller in Accounting, you will be active in many areas of finance and accounting. You will be actively involved in day-to-day business, while also working conceptually and process-oriented.
Your area of responsibility
- Collaboration in main and subsidiary ledgers with reconciliation and support of payroll administration
- Preparation of VAT returns
- Management of invoicing
- Management of cost / performance accounting and asset inventory
- Participation in the planning / budgeting process
- Ensuring system support for other SAP users
- Administration of master data and interfaces
- Acting as deputy within the small team
Your profile
- Solid commercial basic training with advanced expertise in accounting (federal specialist certificate level, bachelor of applied sciences)
- Several years of proven professional experience in a similar role
- High service orientation, independence and reliability as well as analytical and process-oriented thinking
- Structured, precise and efficient working style
- Results-oriented work with a high quality standard
- You are open to advancing digitalisation and would also like to contribute your experience
- You enjoy working in a team and communicate openly and fluently
- Strong IT skills (MS Office and SAP)
- Confident German language skills, both written and spoken
