Is this helpful?
The Robinson Playground offers an open and lively space for leisure activities, encounters, and participation for children, parents, and neighborhood residents three to four days a week. Children find opportunities here that are often not possible in their own homes: they can paint on a large scale, implement and build their own ideas in the workshop, physically let off steam, and actively co-design and reshape the area. In the spirit of open child and youth work, the Robinson Playground promotes self-determination, participation, and social skills. At the same time, the Robinson Playground sees itself as a socio-cultural meeting place, with a lot of commitment from the neighborhood. For example, volunteers run the Robi Café and provide counseling in the writing room.
Starting August 1, 2026, we offer an exciting and diverse apprenticeship position in open child and youth work. Since relationship work at the Robinson Playground Thun is a central element, we prefer applicants who will study in a part-time mode alongside their profession. The internship is equivalent to a fixed-term apprenticeship position (usually about 4 years).
