Help shape the energy future with us! Do you want to drive challenging infrastructure projects? Then you are exactly right at Axpo. As a Project Engineer Biomass, you plan and develop our biogas and pyrolysis plants as well as composting sites up to wood-fired power plants.
Tasks & Responsibilities:
You independently manage smaller projects - from planning through procurement to implementation - keeping an eye on costs, deadlines and quality
In larger projects, you are responsible for the technical processing and regularly coordinate with the overall project manager on the progress of the engineering
You independently create conceptual plans, define interfaces and specify components
You prepare technical reports, documents and specifications and take on tenders, awards and the subsequent handling with suppliers
You work closely with internal departments, external planners, companies and authorities and represent Axpo as the client in your projects
Profile & Requirements:
A completed degree in process or biotechnology, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or similar
At least 3 years of professional experience in process engineering plant construction - ideally in a Swiss planning office with implementation experience
Know-how with biogas, compost or wood energy is an advantage
Confident handling of quantity/energy balances, flow diagrams, P&ID schemes, HAZOP as well as specifications for plant control with function descriptions and interlock lists
Ideally familiar with industry-specific regulations and quality standards such as ATEX, SVGW specifications, machinery and pressure equipment directives, etc.
Reliable and structured working style with quick comprehension
Very good German skills, both spoken and written
