For half a century, the Rohn-Salvisberg Foundation has been fulfilling dreams of living in old age. We currently rent out around 140 non-profit senior apartments in Bülach, Küsnacht and Zürich-Witikon. Our tenants are able to organise their lives independently and manage them responsibly.

In our settlements, a cafeteria and freely accessible communal rooms enable sociable gatherings and offer ideal opportunities for tenants’ own activities.

We are looking for a caretaker 80 - 100% for our settlement in Zürich-Witikon with 70 apartments, to start immediately or by arrangement.

You will maintain and care for the property, the outdoor area and the apartments, enabling our tenants to live independently through your competent support. Additionally, you will look after other properties from our portfolio.

Your duties include

• technical and infrastructural care of the property
• repairs within your professional competence
• cleaning the property and maintaining the outdoor area including winter services, regular cleaning of the goat pen and coordination of gardening work
• apartment inspections and handovers in cooperation with the managing director including organising repairs and cleaning work if necessary
• supporting the cafeteria team
• invoice control and caretaker administration
• participation in staff meetings and internal training
• accompanying excursions and festive events with our tenants as needed
• acting as deputy in other settlements during holiday absences

We are looking for a team-oriented and empathetic person with life experience and an interest in social issues, as well as enjoyment in working with older people. You appreciate organising your varied tasks independently and setting priorities, and you have a healthy sense of humour.

As the direct contact person for tenants, you always have an open ear for their concerns and questions, take the necessary time to advise them competently or refer them to the appropriate place within the foundation.

You have caretaker and/or craft training or several years of professional experience in this field, a category B driving licence, PC user skills (Word, Outlook, Excel) and very good German language skills.
