Your new role
As a city engineer, you will take overall responsibility for the municipal civil engineering office and be accountable for the maintenance, operation, and renewal of the city’s road infrastructure. You will lead demanding projects with technical, financial, and political significance, consider the diverse requirements of public spaces, and focus on contemporary, sustainable, and ecological design. In collaboration with external stakeholders and internal administrative departments, you will coordinate the development of public road and traffic infrastructure. Additionally, you will advise the Director of the Planning and Construction Directorate on all technical matters related to civil engineering and ensure open, clear communication.
This position is for you if
- You hold a degree as a civil engineer from ETH, FH, or an equivalent qualification.
- You have several years of leadership experience in a similar role.
- You possess solid knowledge in project management, digitalisation, and planning of complex construction projects.
- You have a strong customer orientation and a good understanding of political decision-making processes.
- You have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- You have a keen interest in building culture.
