Job Description
As a Project Manager Mechanical Engineering (m/f/div.), you clarify the goal, budget, and project timelines or completion dates at the start of a project. You plan the individual steps, assign tasks, coordinate the project teams, and motivate them. During project execution, you ensure that partial steps are achieved on time and that quality requirements and budgets are met. You explain the tasks and goals to your team members. You also inform the clients and supervisors about the project status. You document all steps and prepare the final documentation after project completion.
Your tasks essentially include:
The technical and commercial project planning of in-house built systems as well as their timely commissioning are part of your responsibilities.
You hand over the system to production and resolve open issues such as quality management, documentation, or occupational safety.
You are responsible for budget planning as well as monitoring and adhering to project costs.
Capacity planning and coordination with external companies or suppliers fall within your scope.
You support mechanical engineering in the procurement of assemblies or standard parts as well as in related commercial matters.
Together with the team and their supervisors, you maintain the project status in the project management tool and continuously develop the tool.
Qualifications
Education: Commercial or technical basic training with further education as an operations specialist / operations technician (m/f/div.) or a higher professional qualification in mechanical engineering / business administration.
Personality and working style: Flexible, solution-oriented, and communicative personality with a high degree of independence and initiative and willingness to travel internationally (up to six times per year for weeks at a time).
Experience and know-how: Experience in project management and very good MS Office skills are advantageous.
Languages: Good communication and expression skills in German and English.
