We are looking for a System Architect Electrical & Process Engineering (m/f/d) to complement our team and make the overall technical architecture of our plants and equipment future-proof. At Endress+Hauser Flowtec AG in Reinach, we develop and produce innovative flow measurement technology for applications in a wide range of industries.

What is the role about?

Are you passionate about viewing complex plants as an interconnected overall system? Would you like to translate electrical, process engineering, and automation requirements into robust solutions? Do you enjoy shaping technical standards and bringing different departments together?

In this role, you will develop holistic system architectures for plants and equipment and support important technical concept decisions. As part of our technical organisation, you will work closely with specialists from mechanics, software, automation, and engineering, as well as with internal stakeholders from development and investment projects.

What tasks will you take on?

You will:

• be responsible for the electrical and signalling system architecture of plants and equipment
• develop, compare, and technically evaluate plant and automation concepts
• design complex plants at the overall plant level, taking into account process, functional, and safety requirements from a systems and process engineering perspective
• support development and investment projects in technical concept decisions and provide professional advice to internal stakeholders
• define architecture standards, technical interfaces, and binding guardrails
• ensure modularisation, standardisation, and reuse of technical solutions together with mechanics, software, automation, and engineering teams

What do we expect from you?

You:

• have a degree in engineering or a comparable qualification in electrical engineering, automation technology, process engineering, or system engineering
• bring several years of industrial experience in the development, planning, or design of complex plants and technical systems
• have sound knowledge of electrical system architecture as well as fluid and process engineering and media handling
• are familiar with control and automation technology and the technical interfaces between technical areas
• have experience in system engineering of industrial processes and in creating holistic plant concepts
• understand interrelations across mechanics, electrical, software, and process and translate these into robust overall solutions with a structured, independent, and communicative working style
