About the job
In this role, you conduct demanding on-site inspections, work closely with executives, and shape the stability of the financial market.
Main tasks
- Planning, co-designing, conducting, and leading on-site inspections at SIX Swiss Exchange (SIX) and BX Swiss AG (BX) in various audit areas (financial resilience, operational resilience, governance & controls, as well as conduct/supervision) and on-site inspections at UBS focusing on operational resilience
- Communicating results to the senior management of SIX, BX, and UBS
- Close collaboration as a cross-functional role with the market infrastructure supervision, UBS supervision, and relevant subject matter experts
- Ensuring documentation; in-depth clarification of supervisory-relevant issues including potential regulatory violations and related problems of the supervised institution; development of solution proposals and measures of organizational, personnel, operational, or financial nature
- Cooperation with foreign supervisory authorities
- Introducing new ideas into workflows and tools
Profile
- University degree in economics or law; ideally further training as a certified public accountant or Certified Internal Auditor (CIA)
- At least 5 years of professional experience at a stock exchange or stock exchange-like institution, a banking regulatory audit firm, or an internal audit department
- Experience in project management and analysis, as well as very good organizational and coordination skills; high judgment ability and excellent oral and written communication skills at all hierarchical levels
- Empathetic, communicative, and team-oriented personality with a convincing presence, negotiation skills, and a touch of humor
- Excellent German and English skills (C2) or very good skills (B2) in the respective other language
