Head of Property Management and Site Management (70-100%)

About the job

Your core tasks:

• You strategically lead the property management department of our cooperative site Westfeld with 525 apartments and around 40 commercial units, creating the framework for our experienced property managers to perform their tasks professionally and independently.
• You develop the consulting and mandate business for third parties, acquire mandates (property management, real estate accounting) and conduct the corresponding negotiations with partners.
• As a strong communicator, you represent wohnen&mehr externally and are responsible for communication with tenants, including demanding individual situations and member affairs.
• You advance modern topics such as participation and neighbourliness: you accompany operational and working groups, organise participatory processes and conduct information events.
• You coordinate internal and external partners, ensure smooth collaboration and support your team in challenging situations.
• You support the usage planning of Westfeld and future sites (usage mix, partners, site development).
• You drive projects and process optimisations forward and actively and future-orientedly develop the department.
• As an experienced professional, you are a sparring partner for the managing director, take on operational deputy tasks in property management if needed and thus relieve your team.

• Broad professional experience in the management of properties or sites (residential and commercial). You are accepted by experienced property managers as a confident leader.
• You convince with sensitivity in dealing with different stakeholders and communicate professionally internally and externally. Even in tricky situations, you face people, moderate confidently and support your team.
• You combine high social competence with joy and understanding for the cooperative system - as a third way between renting and ownership.
• A qualification as a property manager with a federal certificate or equivalent is an advantage, but conceptual thinking with strong implementation skills is more important to us.
• A well-networked, entrepreneurial personality in the Basel region with enthusiasm for acquiring mandates and building consulting services, who masters the balance between high decision-making competence and team play.
• You plan ahead, keep an overview even in complex projects, recognise opportunities and act with personal responsibility.
• You enjoy continuous innovation and process optimisation in a growing environment and are open to modern living and collaboration forms.
• You have a confident oral and written command of German and bring good IT skills (MS Office, property management software desired).
