The Economic Crimes Department is the division of the Criminal Department responsible for clarifying major cases of asset-related offenses. The department also coordinates investigations into phenomena such as "the grandchild trick" – both nationally and internationally – and ensures with extensive expertise from the fields of business, taxes, and finance that fraudulent schemes are uncovered and resolved.
Your Tasks
As a Caseworker Economic Crimes
- you conduct police investigations in cooperation with the prosecuting public prosecutor in the context of complex economic and fraud cases
- you are responsible for the operational management of investigations, including coercive measures and coordination of the investigations
- you review extensive case files and examine them for possible criminal offenses
- you conduct interrogations according to legal requirements and write the corresponding reports
- you collaborate with other areas and departments and support them in professional matters
Your Profile
For these tasks you need
- solid knowledge and several years of experience in fiduciary, banking, or tax matters
- a fluent oral and written expression and the ability to formulate complex issues correctly, structured, and understandably for the target audience
- besides confident German skills, good French and English skills
- a strong interest in economic contexts and police matters
- a quick grasp combined with proven interconnected thinking as well as an independent, precise, and team-oriented working style
