Company Description
The Official Youth Foundation (FOJ) aims to promote the psycho-social development of children, adolescents, and young people in difficulty, in collaboration with parents and partner institutions. Bound by a service contract with the State of Geneva, the FOJ is committed to the protection and defense of the interests of the child.
Serving the families of the canton, it works through four main areas of action: child welfare , emergency reception , family support and preparation for autonomy .
To fulfill its mission, the institution manages 47 structures spread across the Canton of Geneva. It has more than 500 places for minors and young adults, and also offers outpatient educational services at home. The FOJ currently has 670 employees dedicated to serving young people and their families.
The FOJ offers a limited number of internship places in its homes, intended for students of the General Culture School, in preparation for their entry into the specialized social work maturity year (MSTS).
Job Description
Mandatory preparatory internship before entering the specialized social work maturity year (MSTS), reserved for holders of the General Culture School certificate – specific Social Work option.
Duration: 4 weeks
Qualifications
- Holder (or in the process of obtaining) of the General Culture School certificate, specific Social Work option
- Flexibility and ability to quickly adapt to various populations
- Ability to work independently, team spirit, and initiative
- Good knowledge of the Geneva social network.
Additional Information
Must be Swiss nationality or hold a valid work permit.
