About the job
The Office for Culture of the City of Winterthur promotes a diverse cultural life and is responsible for the city museums, collections, and cultural institutions. The Coin Cabinet Winterthur is one of the most important numismatic collections in Europe and combines research, collection, mediation, and exhibitions. To support the museum management, we are looking for a strong organisational personality for two years who will be responsible for, further develop, and actively shape the museum operations in the areas of administration, communication, and marketing. The experiences from this phase will flow into the future organisation of the Office for Culture.Your Tasks
- You will develop processes at the interface between the museum and the Office for Culture
- You will be responsible for the administration of the Coin Cabinet and support the museum management in organisational and administrative matters
- You will coordinate budget, accounting, and controlling in cooperation with the Office for Culture
- You will plan and be responsible for marketing, communication, media work as well as website, newsletter, and social media
- You will organise events, meetings, and mediation offers and lead the staff of visitor services
Your Profile
- Education in business administration, marketing, communication, cultural management, or public management
- Several years of experience in administration, project organisation as well as marketing and communication
- Experience in finance and budgeting as well as pronounced organisational skills
- High service orientation and enjoyment of a versatile coordination function
- Experience in a cultural institution or public administration as well as knowledge of political decision-making processes are advantageous
