Internship Test Engineer

Hey everyone – BrickMachine is hiring!

We're a Zurich-based startup which upcycles LEGO bricks and gives them a second life. After developing a fully automated sorting machine, we're now moving into the industrialisation phase.

To support this next chapter, we're looking for motivated interns to join our team for six months, helping us with system testing and development.

About the Roles:

We offer two positions—one focused on hardware and the other on software. Regardless of specialisation, both roles will have similar tasks: system testing and performance analysis. You’ll help design and run failure mode analyses, stress-test our neural networks, and uncover edge cases we've missed so far.

Skills (Nice to Have)

You don’t need to know it all – we value a hands-on mindset above everything else. That said, some useful skills include:

• CAD experience (Fusion 360 or SolidWorks)
• Python (especially with libraries like NumPy, Pandas, etc.)
• Basic C++ knowledge
• Basic electronics (stepper motors, microcontrollers like Arduino or ESP32)

We’ll teach you what you don’t know – just bring your curiosity and motivation.

Internship Details

• Workload: 40% (approx. 16 hours/week)
• Duration: 6 months
• Working hours: Flexible (we’re understanding during exam periods)
• Compensation: CHF 800/month
