Become a key player in Valais emergency services and join the OCVS!
The Valais Cantonal Emergency Organisation (OCVS) coordinates the prehospital emergency response chain in the canton of Valais and operates the medical emergency call centre 144.
Your mission: As part of its activities, the OCVS is seeking an IT Service Manager responsible for ensuring the availability, security and sustainability of its IT and telecommunications environment, within a context of critical infrastructure and medical emergency.
Main responsibilities
- Manage the IT service and ensure continuity, availability and security of infrastructures and telecommunications, notably the 144 call centre.
- Guarantee business continuity and IT crisis management, including in the event of cyberattacks, disasters or unavailability of a critical site or supplier.
- Define and implement IT strategy, governance and standards, in collaboration with the Executive Committee.
- Ensure cybersecurity, risk management and data protection, notably in the role of DPO.
- Manage IT projects, system evolution and technological innovation, including evaluation and governance of AI usage.
- Guarantee the quality, governance and operation of the organisation’s data. Manage, develop and organise a small IT team, ensuring continuity and redundancy of skills.
- Manage providers, contracts, public procurement and IT budgets.
- Define, monitor and improve IT processes, performance indicators and quality standards.
- Represent the organisation in networks and technical bodies of emergency centres in French-speaking Switzerland.
- Actively participate in the Executive Committee, risk management and definition of the organisation’s strategic directions.
- Ensure availability in case of major crisis and participate in the technical on-call system.
Your profile
- IT engineering degree or equivalent.
- Proven experience managing critical IT infrastructures, ideally in health, public safety or emergency sectors.
- Strong knowledge of ITIL / ISO 20000 and ISO 27001 frameworks.
- Training or certification in data protection / DPO (or willingness to undertake this training upon starting).
- Experience in team management and project management.
- French or German as mother tongue, with very good command of the other language.
