About the job

Insolight is an innovative company based in Renens (CH) building agrivoltaic installations, with a single infrastructure providing agricultural protection on top of solar energy. We have a technological background, with hardware solutions for multiple crops and a proprietary software toolbox allowing agronomic performance monitoring and optimization.
We are now multiplying projects with growers across Europe, with a commercial pipeline of more than 1’000 hectares / 500 MWp / CHF 500 Mio of projects, among which 180 MWp are under development in France, Italy and Switzerland. Our team is passionate about building a solution that impacts both energy and agriculture, tackling multiple Sustainable Developments Goals at once.
The company has been shifting from technology to project development and infrastructure deployments in several geographies. Reinforcement is thus needed in the finance team, ensuring the success of this scale-up. We are looking for a Team Lead Accounting to strengthen our Team. This role is reporting to the CFO.

Role and key responsibilities

• Perform daily accounting activities (AP, AR, weekly payments and cash management) in collaboration with the Administrative Assistant
• Perform monthly and quarterly closing activities for the Swiss entity, including profit & loss statement, cash flow analysis and balance sheet review
• Liaise with our local fiduciaries in France and Italy for proper bookkeeping

Financial Planning and Analysis activities

• Track actual costs vs budget and forecast

Human Resources (optional)

• Manage HR contracts, payroll and social insurances for the Swiss entity
• Ensure proper administration of employees’ stock option plan

Tax

• Manage VAT, tax returns and other tax compliance activities for the Swiss entity
• Oversee foreign VAT returns in France and Italy

Systems and processes

• An experienced finance professional with 3-5 years’ experience, ideally in an international environment
• Accounting certification such as Swiss Brevet federal or equivalent
• Solid understanding of accounting and finance principles according to the Swiss Code of obligations.
• French and English speaking (proficiency level)
• Strong IT affinity
• Previous experience with Microsoft Business Central or equivalent
• Great energy, entrepreneurial mindset
• Genuine interest in sustainability
• Excellent communication and people skills
• Flexibility and able to successfully navigate in a fast-paced organization

Additional valuable skills

• Experience or knowledge in agrivoltaics
• Fluency in German and/or Italian
