Tasks:
- decides and manages the individual therapeutic plan for the patient according to the diagnostic and pharmacotherapeutic framework, ensuring, in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team, the correct implementation of patient care, as per the "Medical Responsibility and Delegation" protocol (I-298)
- ensures and performs medical-psychiatric or child psychiatric specialist consultations, where necessary in collaboration with psychologists, guaranteeing correct diagnostic, psychopharmacological and rehabilitative assessment
- actively collaborates with doctors from psychiatric and somatic hospital facilities and with private practice doctors, in agreement with the Chief Psychiatrist of the OSC service. Regarding somatic care necessary for the patient’s well-being, organises and co-manages the planned somatic treatments
- ensures FMH training for assistant doctors and other public or publicly interested professional figures. Is required to update their professional knowledge in compliance with FMH provisions for maintaining the specialist title
- creates, in agreement with the Chief Psychiatrist of the OSC service, relations with other public and private structures operating in the territory to create ideal preconditions for network intervention
- ensures on-call duty in the territory and/or shifts at the Cantonal Psychiatric Clinic (CPC) as provided by the "OSC Medical On-call and Duty Regulations" (D-154)
- prepares medical psychiatric or child psychiatric expert reports assigned to them and supervised by the head of service
- guarantees the correct drafting of TARDOC and TARPSY services
Requirements:
- medical diploma (or equivalent qualification)
- FMH specialist title in psychiatry and psychotherapy (or equivalent qualification)
- authorisation to practise medicine freely in the Canton of Ticino issued by the Health Office
- good knowledge of another official language and English
- experience in medical-therapeutic work in sociopsychiatric teams
- teamwork skills
- knowledge of the territory and the sociopsychiatric care network of the Canton of Ticino
Special remarks:
- employment relationship: mandate (art. 15 LORD) - unit temporarily authorised until 31 December 2026
- employment level: 1 part-time position at 20%
- workplace: Prison facilities, Lugano
- availability of the candidate to work irregular shifts
- start date: to be agreed

Employment conditions:
- appointment or mandate: as provided by the Law on the Organisation of State Employees and Teachers of 15 March 1995 (LORD) and the related Regulation. Any legal changes concerning salary and organisation are explicitly reserved
- working hours: 42 hours per week (for a 100% employment relationship), flexible or according to service needs
