Software Engineer HMI (m/f/d)

About the job

In this exciting role, you will design the interface between humans and machines for our innovative high-tech packaging machines . You will ensure that complex processes can be operated intuitively, efficiently, and user-friendly. As part of our interdisciplinary team, you will work on our HMI solutions and make an important contribution to the success of our globally deployed systems.

Your role in our team

• Project-related creation of the Human Machine Interface (HMI)
• Further development and standardisation of HMI software, style guides, and libraries
• Active participation in the development of HMI application concepts and their implementation
• Creation of HMI documentation and validation materials
• Training of internal employees and customer personnel in the area of HMI
• Contact person for hardware and software suppliers in the HMI area

Your profile

You are a motivated and committed person who enjoys working analytically and systematically. You enjoy new challenges and like working in a team. Taking responsibility for your tasks and a flexible working style are natural to you.

• Basic training as an automation technician, electronics technician, electrician, or in a comparable technical profession
• Further education FH/HF in systems engineering, electrical engineering, automation, or computer science is an advantage
• Good to very good knowledge of Java or a comparable programming language, ideally in the context of HMI, automation, or industrial applications
• Confident handling of version control (Git, SVN) as well as build and automation tools such as Gradle and Ant
• PLC knowledge is an advantage
• Good English skills, both spoken and written
