About our client

Our client is an established, international Swiss industrial and technology company with around 75 employees. The company is characterised by future-oriented, meaningful products as well as an uncomplicated corporate culture. Due to the upcoming retirement of the previous post holder, we are exclusively mandated to find an experienced, proactive personality for a well-coordinated 8-person team (Finance & IT).

Your main tasks

Financial accounting & controlling (independent management)

• Overall responsibility for managing the entire accounting in the ERP system (switch to Abacus as of 01.01.2027)

• Management of the general ledger and cash including all relevant postings, reconciliations and controls

• Active support in monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements

• Preparation of evaluations and reconciliations (e.g. sales bonuses, cost centres, contribution margins)

Accounts payable

• Independent management of accounts payable: recording, processing and posting supplier invoices

• Preparation and execution of regular payment runs

• Processing and checking of expense and credit card statements

Accounts receivable & dunning

• Independent posting of outgoing invoices and incoming payments

• Consistent dunning and reconciliation in the collection area

• Assistance in maintaining and updating the customer master data

Taxes & banking

• Preparation of VAT returns for Switzerland and Germany

• Monitoring of banking activities, determination of bank balances and control of bank guarantees

Your profile

• Education & experience: Completed commercial basic training; further training in finance (e.g. professional certificate) is an advantage, but your solid practical experience in independent management is clearly paramount.

• Expertise: Several years of experience in accounts payable and receivable, dunning as well as proficient knowledge of Swiss and German VAT law.

• IT skills: Confident use of MS Office; knowledge of the ERP system Abacus is a great plus.

• Languages: Very good German skills in spoken and written form; knowledge of English or French is an advantage.

• Personality: Resilient, proactive and reliable personality with a strong affinity for numbers and precise working style.
