You will join the Actuarial Team at AXIS Re Europe in Zurich, where you will support the pricing of International Accident & Health (A&H) treaty business. In this role, you will work closely with underwriters to project results for individual trading relationships and ensure robust analytical input into pricing decisions. In addition, you will be expected to demonstrate a strong interest in understanding industry trends and to incorporate these insights into your treaty analyses and pricing work.

What will you do in this role?
- Collect, validate, and prepare client data for use in AXIS pricing tools to support accurate and timely actuarial analyses.
- Collaborate closely with underwriting teams to fully understand risk features and ensure they are appropriately reflected in pricing and modelling.
- Perform loss modelling for international treaty business within the European Accident & Health Division.
- Apply actuarial techniques to estimate expected losses, cash flows, and risk aggregations, and advise management on technical pricing to ensure robust actuarial and economic and evaluation of commercial agreements.
- Contribute actuarial insights to portfolio monitoring, business planning, and forward-looking projections.
- Gather market parameters and carry out analytical studies to identify trends, correlations, and emerging risk dynamics.
- Support the development and maintenance of actuarial and data analytics tools, models, and processes.
- Participate in cross-functional projects and promote best-practice actuarial standards across teams.
- May participate in client and broker visits.

What you need to have:
Technical Skills:
- A university degree (or equivalent qualification) in Actuarial Science or a related quantitative discipline.
- A demonstrated interest in pursuing actuarial professional qualifications.
- Advanced proficiency in MS Office applications, with particular emphasis on Excel.
- Proficiency in at least one programming language (e.g., VBA, C#, R, or SQL).
- Full professional fluency in English (required).

What we prefer you to have:
- Experience preferably in a pricing department at an Insurance or Reinsurance company – at least 2 years of experience in Life is preferred.
- Ability to effectively leverage artificial intelligence tools (e.g., Copilot) to enhance efficiency and analytical output.
- French is a bonus.
