Senior System Engineer Compute & Storage, Virtualisation and Backup 80–100 %

About the job

Your Role

• Dimensioning, planning, installing and commissioning compute and storage platforms based on HPE ProLiant, Synergy, Alletra and MSA
• Designing and implementing virtualisation projects with VMware vSphere, VCF, HPE Morpheus, VM Essentials or Microsoft Hyper-V as well as carrying out migrations between platforms
• Designing and realising modern backup, recovery and disaster recovery solutions with Veeam or Zerto
• Advising customers on the technical and economic alignment of their virtualisation strategy
• Supporting highly available and regulated customer environments as well as performing maintenance and migration work outside regular office hours if necessary
• Sharing professional know-how within the company, promoting internal knowledge transfers and acting as a competent contact person for technical questions as well as working together with the sales team to develop innovative customer solutions and continuously further develop the existing solution portfolio.

What you bring with you

• You have completed training or further education in the field of system technology with several years of professional experience or have completed a comparable qualification in this field
• Further education at a university of applied sciences is a plus
• You have extensive knowledge in dimensioning, commissioning and troubleshooting server and storage hardware as well as in building virtualisation solutions, preferably at an IT service provider
• You have experience in building backup and restore solutions, preferably with Veeam
• You hold certifications in the manufacturer area HPE, Veeam, VMware or are willing to obtain them
• You speak very good German and have good English skills
