About the job

• You are responsible for the daily operation of the cheese humidor with 4 employees and ensure the assortment in terms of quantity, quality, and product presentation.
• You are the contact person for inquiries and discussions with the Coop store manager on site as well as with Baumann Cheese AG.
• You pass on your passion for cheese to Coop customers by advising and accompanying them in cheese selection. Participating in the implementation of marketing and sales activities (e.g., tastings) is also part of your duties. You manage the assortment regarding quantity, quality, and presentation of the products.
• A special focus is on the care of cheese for refinement, preparation for sale, and restocking the shelves.
• The care and cleaning of work equipment and the sales area are part of the daily tasks to be carried out in compliance with hygiene and quality regulations (according to food regulations).

• You have completed an apprenticeship as a retail specialist and additionally completed a commercial school or further training in sales.
• You have initial leadership experience and are motivated to competently sell our products with your four-person team.
• You skillfully apply your practical experience in cheese sales, combined with creative ideas for cheese platters and buffets.
• You are characterized by joy in personal customer contact, openness, and a neat appearance combined with an independent, reliable, and responsible way of working.
• You can assert yourself, act solution- and goal-oriented, and are able to communicate with various interlocutors.
• Your mother tongue is German and ideally you also speak fluent French. In addition, you are confident in using common MS Office programs. Finally, you should definitely be willing to work flexibly during store opening hours.
