The city of Illnau-Effretikon – located between Winterthur and Zurich – offers attractive conditions with rural and urban areas, hamlets, centers, and the historic village of Kyburg for the approximately 17,800 inhabitants. We train around 20 apprentices in five different professions and prepare them for their entry into working life. We offer the following on March 24, 2026, and March 26, 2026:
THIS IS WHAT YOU CAN EXPERIENCE ON YOUR TRIAL DAY:
On your trial day, you will receive general information about the commercial profession.
You will learn how the training is structured at the city of Illnau-Effretikon and gain insights into various areas of our administration, such as the city office, presidential office, taxes, or debt collection office.
REQUIREMENTS FOR THE TRIAL APPRENTICESHIP ARE:
- good to very good grades in the respective core subjects (Secondary A or B)
- enjoyment in contact with people as well as interest in office and PC activities
- a reliable, responsible, and independent personality with good manners and a quick grasp
- interest in political topics and the processes of a public administration are a great advantage
Please include, in addition to your application letter and CV, all copies of certificates from secondary school onwards and, if available, copies of the Stellwerk test or the Multicheck (Economics and Administration). Please also let us know which date for the trial apprenticeship you would prefer.
