Technical Employee*in Electrical / Electrician*in / Service Technician*in

Protection & Rescue Zurich (SRZ) unites, as a service department of the Security Department, the professional and militia fire brigade, the ambulance service, and the operations control centre (ELZ) for emergency calls 144 and 118. In addition, civil protection, fire police, and a training centre with an affiliated Higher Technical School for Rescue Professions (HFRB) belong to the largest civilian rescue organisation in Switzerland. Intervention and prevention units protect and rescue people, animals, property, and the environment around the clock in the city of Zurich, at Zurich Airport, and in the agglomeration.

Tasks

• You ensure the reliable operation of the siren systems in the city of Zurich and take care of their maintenance as well as all installation work.
• You plan, organise, and coordinate the annual siren tests and ensure their smooth execution.
• You monitor, maintain, and renew technical equipment, including by replacing electrical components.
• You carry out repairs and implement new installations in the area of low and extra-low voltage in the protective structures of the ZSO as well as in the shelters of SRZ.

Profile

• Completed vocational training (EFZ) as an electrical installer.
• Several years of professional experience in the electrical sector as well as good user knowledge of the MS Office suite.
• Operating electrician permit according to NIV Art. 13.
• Driving licence category B.
• Confident German language skills in spoken and written form.
• High service orientation, teamwork skills, as well as an independent, reliable, and responsible working style.
• Willingness to perform on-call duty.
