- Design and configuration of customised customer, network and security solutions (including Cisco, Juniper and Fortinet)
- Operational operation as well as carrying out maintenance and servicing work (changes)
- Monitoring, fault analysis and sustainable fault rectification in daily business
- Optimisation and design of the company’s own backbone and access network
- Timely implementation of diverse projects and individual customer requirements
- Independent communication with our national and international partners as well as suppliers
- Willingness to periodically perform 7x24 on-call duty
Your skills
- IT training or technical basic training with appropriate further education
- Relevant network certifications (e.g. CCNP, CCIE or Fortinet NSE 6/8) are a great advantage
- In-depth knowledge in the areas of routing, switching and security
- Solid professional experience as a Network / Security Engineer, ideally in the carrier or ISP environment
- Independent, solution-oriented and absolutely reliable working style
- Team player with a genuine hands-on mentality and great interest in new technologies
- Enjoyment of direct contact with customers as well as a pronounced implementation strength
- Fluent German skills as well as very good English skills
- Impeccable reputation (required due to the data centre environment)
