About the job

The Department of Ageing and Care of the City of Winterthur offers a diverse range of services for the population of Winterthur in the five retirement homes as well as with Spitex.

We offer a reliable and sociable person the opportunity to gain initial experience in the kitchen area in a fixed-term position of 6 to 12 months from 1 August 2026 or by arrangement, at the Neumarkt Retirement Home.

Your Tasks

Ensuring the cleaning of dishes and furniture

Assisting with daily kitchen cleaning

Supporting the kitchen in preparing vegetables

Helping with plating dishes

Your Profile

Desire to gain first experience in the tasks of a catering operation

Interest in learning a versatile craft

Willingness to work physically

Flexibility to work in different shifts

Willingness to work for our residents also on weekends and public holidays

Understanding of the Swiss dialect and oral German skills

The internship is remunerated at CHF 16,640.00 per year for a 100% workload until the 18th birthday, thereafter CHF 22,187.00 per year.
