About the job

The municipality of Attiswil with its 1,550 inhabitants is located at the southern foot of the Jura in the canton of Bern. Due to its rural village character and the good mix of residential, agricultural and commercial areas, Attiswil represents an attractive place to live. The municipality is characterised by an active club life and is well connected by public transport.

Due to a retirement and the reorganisation of the technical operations of Attiswil, we are looking for a flexible, committed and versatile from 1 November 2026 or by arrangement.

Water Supervisor

Your main tasks

Wellmaster or Water Supervisor 35%

• Operation, monitoring and maintenance of water supply systems
• Inspection of reservoirs, pumping stations, pipeline network and hydrants
• Troubleshooting and support with repair work
• Carrying out quality controls and documentation
• Participation in projects in the field of water supply
• Cleaning of village wells

Sewage system supervisor 10%

• Inspection and monitoring of sewage systems
• Carrying out maintenance and cleaning work
• Support with maintenance and repair work

Garden maintenance supervisor 15%

• Care and maintenance of green areas, flower beds and public spaces
• Pruning and maintenance work on shrubs, hedges and trees
• Lawn care as well as general maintenance work

Holiday cover and assistance with road and caretaker duties 20%

• Substitution during holiday absences
• Assistance with road and caretaker duties

Your profile

Completed vocational training in a craft or technical profession (e.g. plumber, maintenance technician, farmer, gardener or comparable training). Willingness to undertake further training in the field of water supply. Independent, reliable and careful working style. Technical understanding and manual skills. Enjoyment of varied outdoor activities. Driving licence category B (BE an advantage). Willingness to be on call after appropriate training.
