You shape the future of AI-supported medicine – at the interface of imaging, diagnostics and digital health. As a professor, you combine excellent research with inspiring teaching and establish your own research group at the Institute of Medical Engineering and Medical Informatics. Your application-oriented scientific contributions arise in the field of- image-based in-silico modelling and simulation of medical processes and procedures in diagnosis and therapy or
- the development of anatomy, physiology or pathology models based on image data for practical applications or
- address the area of video-supported control and management of robotic systems (Embodied AI) in medicine, surgery and care
- AI-supported clinical decision support (Clinical Decision Support) and the integration of image-based analyses into clinical information systems and digital patient pathways

Your profile:
You are a creative, scientifically proven personality with a passion for the interface of technology and medicine. Your completed university degree with a doctorate (medical informatics, IT engineering with medical knowledge or medicine with advanced IT skills) forms your foundation – complemented by:- several years of professional experience in industry or hospital
- understanding of medical processes and clinical decision-making and knowledge in medical informatics / clinical information systems is an advantage
- proven competence in acquiring and managing (international) industry- and business-oriented projects
- ideally leadership experience in managing working groups
- extensive network in science and business, especially in Switzerland and Europe
- proven high-quality publication activity experience in teaching university didactic qualification or willingness to acquire this within the first years
- very good German and English skills
