About the job

The Sommerau school boarding house is a social and special educational institution offering services for children and young people with special support needs aged 7 to 21 years. For over 170 years, Sommerau has been established in a natural setting in the upper Basel region and is well networked within the educational and social area of Northwestern Switzerland.

The boys and girls are socially and pedagogically supported in four residential groups; they attend the internal special school at primary school level and subsequently external secondary schools (public schools) or vocational training in the region.

As a complement to our team in the residential area, we are looking for a

Social Pedagogue HF/FH 80 - 100 %

You bring with you

A diploma in social pedagogy, skills and enthusiasm for working with children of both genders from 7 years old who are in a challenging developmental phase.

Creativity and humour as well as a strong willingness to build relationships in working with children and young people.

For the operation, it is necessary to work irregular hours, including evenings, weekends and public holidays.
