Internship Opportunity: Data Science (Advanced Analytics Team)

We are looking for a curious, collaborative, and impact-driven Data Science Intern to join our Advanced Analytics team at EPD’s global headquarters in Basel. What You’ll Work On

Explore ways to reduce latency in LLMOps pipelines using techniques like model distillation, caching strategies, and prompt engineering.

Research and propose frameworks for automating repetitive tasks using multi-agent collaboration.

Collaborate with senior data scientists to understand business challenges across operations, finance, and supply chain.

Conduct data exploration, cleaning, and visualization to uncover insights.

Support model development workflows including feature engineering and validation.

Document findings to promote knowledge sharing and reproducibility.

Stay curious and continuously learn about emerging technologies in AI and data science.
What We’re Looking For

Currently pursuing a Master’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., applied mathematics, computer science, engineering, statistics).

Experience with full-cycle data science projects and applying methods to real-world problems.

Familiarity with tools like LangChain, Hugging Face, and vector databases.

Programming skills in Python or R; knowledge of object-oriented languages is a plus.

Understanding of software engineering principles and testing frameworks.

Exposure to cloud platforms like AWS/SageMaker is a bonus.
