PhD Assistant Substitute in Sports Science – Muscle Physiology
Position Information
Start date: 1 December 2026
Contract duration: 6 months
Work rate: 100%
Workplace: Lausanne-Dorigny
Gross annual salary: CHF 67,568, increasing each year according to the scale
Your Activities
The position is under the responsibility of Professor Nicolas Place. The holder is expected to carry out/continue ongoing work on the plasticity of muscle function. A contribution to teaching activities at ISSUL is also expected.
50% of the work rate will be dedicated to personal research work.
21% of the work rate will be devoted to participation in teaching, under the responsibility of the lead teacher.
29% of the work rate will be devoted to shared research work, including participation in the scientific activities of the research unit and collective research activities.
Your Profile
We wish to recruit a person with the following profile:
- Master’s degree in sports science, biology, or an equivalent qualification
- Interest in pursuing research activities on neuromuscular function plasticity
- Fluency in French (mandatory) and good knowledge of English
- Interest in teaching life sciences
- Organisational skills, ability to work autonomously and independently, and within a research team
