About the job
The cantonal unemployment fund (ALK), together with the Regional Employment Center and the Employment Office, implements unemployment insurance law. The focus of their services is on clarifying benefit entitlements as well as calculating and timely paying compensation for unemployment, insolvency, short-time work, and bad weather.
We are looking for a
Clerk ALK 50–100 %
immediately or by arrangement with workplace in Glarus.
Tasks
- Checking and assessing benefit entitlements to unemployment compensation
- Payment of unemployment compensation
- Issuing first-instance decisions and preparing appeal-compliant rulings
- Legally compliant implementation of unemployment insurance law
- Advising the insured and other entitled groups
Requirements
- Commercial basic training with several years of professional experience in qualified clerical work (preferably in the social insurance sector)
- Willingness to complete the Federal Specialist Certificate Social Insurance Specialist
- Strong numerical aptitude and interest in legal issues
- High level of resilience, sense of responsibility, and decisiveness
- Independent, precise, efficient, and timely working style
- Customer orientation and enjoyment in dealing with people
- Proficient in the use of MS Office with good IT skills
