Social Pedagogical Employee (FH/HF) 80 - 100%The Correctional Services and Reintegration (JuWe) is part of the Directorate of Justice and the Interior of the Canton of Zurich and is responsible for penal and measure enforcement as well as the implementation of various types of detention. For our 1,400 employees from around 40 professions, the successful social reintegration of offenders, the prevention of recidivism, and the detention and preparation of the departure of persons without a valid residence permit are of particular importance.
The Affoltern am Albis Prison (GFA) is one of the enforcement institutions of the Canton of Zurich (VEZ) – one of seven main departments of JuWe – and is an institution specialised in the closed enforcement of custodial sentences. The GFA offers space for about 60 detainees.
To strengthen our team, we are looking for committed, reliable, and responsible individuals to start by arrangement.
This is your field of activity
- You care for, occupy, and accompany assigned persons with special needs within the daily structures and act as their contact person
- You ensure an orderly daily routine (e.g. ensuring hygiene, catering, cell order, laundry changes, etc.)
- You ensure compliance with and enforcement of safety and service regulations and are able to recognise and manage critical situations
- You take on administrative tasks such as writing reports, leadership record entries, and documenting events
- You participate in interdisciplinary exchange forums as well as somatic and psychiatric ward rounds
What you bring
- Completed vocational training in social pedagogy (FH/HF), preferably in forensic psychiatric care
- Mature, conflict- and confrontation-capable personality with very good interpersonal skills
- Strong team spirit
- Willingness to work interdisciplinarily and to engage in continuous learning
