As a (Senior) System Engineer (Virtualization), you are the specialist for business-critical backup solutions and data center infrastructures:
You plan, design, and implement highly available ICT solutions in the data center area - directly at the customer
You lead demanding customer projects in the area of data center infrastructures and backup management
You contribute your expertise in the Virtualization Competence Center
You develop new services and solution approaches for data center and backup environments
You support the team in specialized third-level support for complex system errors
Your Profile
Must-have
Several years of experience in project work with data center infrastructures and backup solutions
Expertise in backup strategies and concepts (Veeam Backup & Recovery)
Solid knowledge in data center infrastructures and virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V)
Experience in the Windows Server area including analysis and resolution of complex system errors
Project management: Independent implementation of customer projects including consulting and technical support
Security and compliance understanding in the area of backup and data security policies
Nice-to-have
PowerShell and automation
Microsoft Entra ID and Azure Infrastructure as a Service
Experience with hybrid cloud environments
Soft Skills
Strong project and customer orientation
Hands-on mentality and initiative
Strong communication and organizational skills
Enthusiasm for new technologies
Required Education/Qualification
Completed IT training or comparable qualification
Certification: Veeam Backup / vSphere
