Catechist

The Reformed Church Community of Regensberg is a lively and culturally diverse engaged community in the Zurich lowlands. Of the approximately 500 inhabitants, about 180 belong to our Reformed Church Community.

The current post holder will retire in summer 2027. For a good follow-up solution, we are looking for a

Catechist approx. 10 – 20% in the area of children and families
 

As a catechist, you will design the religious education lessons for children in grades 1 to 4 in an experiential and interesting way.

Your area of responsibility

• Leadership of Minichile 1st and 2nd grade
• Leadership of Domino 3rd and 4th grade
  Small classes, as it is a small Reformed church community
• Cooperation with the primary and day school Regensberg
• Cooperation with the JUKI leadership
• Conducting four family services with all Sunday school children together with the pastor, one of which is a children’s Christmas service
• Organising and leading a camp weekend in May/June
• Possibly assisting with and leading a regional weekend camp in February
• Participation in the church convention twice a year
• Parent communication
• Participation in the catechetical chapter and further training

Your profile

• You are interested in the Christian faith
• Your heart beats for children and families
• You are sociable and enjoy working in a team
• Independent and responsible working are your strengths
• You are a trained catechist or willing to complete the training to become a catechist (religious education training of the cantonal church of Zurich)
