As a Geomatics Technician with a focus on "Geoinformatics", you will be trained as a specialist in the collection, modeling, updating, analysis, and presentation of spatial information. Using the latest measurement systems, data such as the location or height of an object is collected and evaluated, managed, and analyzed with the help of geographic information systems and specialized applications, or maps with thematic orientation are created. This data serves as a basis for various information and planning tasks as well as decisions in technology, economy, environment, and politics. Geoinformatics is diverse and demanding – it is a beautiful but challenging activity.
You are currently attending secondary school A, and your favorite subjects include mathematics and geometry. You have a preference for technology, and you enjoy working on the computer. You should also bring a good spatial imagination, logical thinking, and a quick understanding. You like to work concentrated and carefully over a longer period. You have a good command of the German language in both spoken and written form. If you would like to complete your apprenticeship with a vocational maturity, we will support you.
