Occupational Therapist for the Autism Centre, 80% workload

To complement our team, we are seeking an occupational therapist for the Autism Centre at the earliest possible date, with a workload of approximately 80%.


What you can achieve:

• You conduct developmental assessments and support children on the autism spectrum in their individual development.
• You create and implement support plans for individual and group therapies within the core team.
• You are an active part of a transdisciplinary team.
• You work closely with families, supporting and advising them on educational and developmental matters.

What you bring:

• a recognised qualification in occupational therapy, preferably EDK accredited
• a professional practice permit from the Canton of Basel-Landschaft
• interest in autism
• desirable are additional training in communication support concepts, knowledge in paediatrics, and good IT skills.

Since 2008, the Autism Centre (AZ) of the GSR ( www.gsr.ch ) has been supporting children on the autism spectrum (ASS) in the preschool area up to kindergarten enrolment in an intensive setting. The transdisciplinary work with specialists in early remedial education, speech therapy, occupational therapy, and complementary day structures is highly valued.
Since 2014, the AZ has been recognised by the Federal Social Insurance Office for the implementation of intensive early intervention (IFI) in early childhood autism. In addition to its core business in IFI, the AZ offers a variety of autism-specific further training courses.
