The EOC, the multi-site hospital of Ticino, is present with its institutes throughout the entire cantonal territory with a total of 1,000 beds. The organization effectively combines a local approach and an overall vision, guaranteeing the population a comprehensive and nearby hospital service, regardless of where the services are requested.
Thanks to the commitment and competence of over 6,500 collaborators and their attention to human relations, the EOC ensures quality healthcare by caring for over 41,000 inpatients annually and providing over 600,000 outpatient consultations.
To complete our team of the Domestic Economy Service at the Regional Hospital of Mendrisio, we are looking for a:
Head of Domestic Economy Team (100%)
Profile:
The future collaborator has good operational and organizational skills necessary to ensure the proper functioning of the department in compliance with procedures and defined quality standards. They directly perform the cleaning activities assigned to them and coordinate a dedicated group of about 20/30 people as the reference person.
They enjoy working in a team and can handle significant workloads. In more stressful situations, they are able to support the organization by focusing on the final result for the well-being of the patient. They are predisposed to interdisciplinary collaboration, feel comfortable in a multicultural context, and know how to manage interpersonal relationships with all stakeholders.
Necessary requirements:
- Federal certificate of capacity as a hotel employee or in domestic economy is a preferred qualification.
- Professional experience in socio-health or hotel facilities.
- Familiarity with regular and extraordinary cleaning of rooms and departments, also using cleaning machines.
- Ability to plan the daily and monthly schedule of the team.
- Leadership skills, good relational and communication skills.
- Autonomy, initiative, discretion.
- Flexibility and multitasking ability.
- Orientation towards change and development.
- Excellent knowledge of the Italian language, spoken and written. Knowledge of another national language is desirable.
- Good knowledge of main computer programs.
- Availability for flexible work shifts (7/7 and evenings until 10:00 p.m.).
