About the job
Since 1899, the cooperative HG COMMERCIALE (HGC) with its approximately 850 employees today has been one of the most important service providers in the Swiss construction industry. The mix makes the difference: We value the experience of our long-standing HGC professionals from various professions just as much as young talents, whom we promote internally and externally. Our culture is open, fair, and honest and down-to-earth in the best sense. We rely on mutual trust. Each individual should take responsibility and contribute ideas because we want to move forward together and shape the future of the construction industry.
Your area of responsibility
You are responsible for the payroll of HGC from A to Z – with real influence on operations and plenty of room for professional design. Your main tasks include:
Independent execution of the monthly payroll run (Abacus)
Processing of sickness and accident daily allowances (UKA) as well as family allowances
Nationwide withholding tax settlements including special cases (e.g., cross-border commuters)
Monthly reconciliations with the financial accounting
Year-end tasks and reporting
Maintenance of personnel master data (in cooperation with team colleagues)
Technical contact person for all payroll and social insurance-related topics
Responsibility for optimization projects, system tests, and further developments in the payroll module
Thanks to external support for partial processes and our modern work organization, a workload of about 80% is possible – with simultaneously high stability and flexibility, e.g., in vacation planning.
Your profile
Due to a retirement, we are looking for a regular successor starting in spring 2026 who enjoys responsibility, accuracy, and further development.
Enjoyment in processing around 1000 payrolls per month in almost all cantons of Switzerland, diverse employment conditions, and complex issues.
Commercial basic training
Additional professional training in HR/payroll (personnel specialist, social insurance specialist, or similar) or currently undergoing the corresponding further education
At least 3 years of experience in payroll across all relevant areas
Very precise, structured, and independent working style
Networked thinking and enthusiasm for optimization
High service standards
French language skills (as we operate nationwide)
Our offer
Internal and external training opportunities
Attractive social benefits (e.g., own pension fund, pension contributions are two-thirds paid by the employer)
Modern infrastructure
Flexible seniority bonuses
At least 25 days of vacation
Discounts on the purchase of products for personal use
