Youth Work Leader 80 %

The city of Dietikon is the fifth largest municipality in Zurich and also the district capital in the Limmattal with around 28,000 inhabitants. The municipal youth work offers a variety of services in an urban environment. It is present in the youth centre and in public spaces.

From 1 February 2027 or by arrangement, we are looking for a committed professional as

• Management and further development of a professional municipal youth work, which includes a youth centre as well as mobile and outreach youth work
• Leading a small team of two employees plus practical supervision of youth workers in training
• Planning, coordination and further development of the services
• Support and assistance for young people
• Networking and collaboration with schools, authorities and other local partners
• Participation in internal, local and regional exchange and specialist committees

• Degree in Social Work, Social Pedagogy or Sociocultural Animation (FH/HF) or similar
• Ideally first leadership experience and professional experience in mobile/outreach youth work
• Training for practical training (PA) is an advantage
• Independent, reliable and organised way of working
• Confident appearance, empathetic personality, team player, resilient
• Working days usually from Wednesday to Friday (including evening shifts) as well as assignments on Saturday
