Private Markets are an important part of Publica's investment strategy. The Private Markets team manages foreign real estate, infrastructure, and private debt investments. For implementation, the team works closely with external asset managers. To complete the team again soon, we are looking for a Junior Portfolio Manager.
Junior Portfolio Manager / Junior Portfolio Manager Private Markets (80 - 100%)
What to expect
- You manage and monitor the externally managed Private Debt portfolio together with the team, focusing on real estate and infrastructure financing.
- Gradually, you take on more responsibility for the entire Private Debt portfolio. You assess performance, steer portfolio construction, monitor compliance with investment guidelines, conduct investment planning, and maintain regular communication with asset managers. Furthermore, you support the selection of asset managers.
- In the area of infrastructure and Swiss real estate financing, you analyse individual investments and prepare investment decisions for the investment committee.
- You actively drive the digitisation and automation of processes, data analyses, and reports in the Private Markets area.
- You participate in strategic and operational projects to further develop asset management and prepare reports and proposals for our committees.
What you bring
- You have a completed university degree (Uni / FH) in economics, finance, or a related field and are willing to pursue a specialised further education (CFA, CAIA, CIIA, or FRM).
- You bring curiosity for financial markets as well as enjoyment of numbers and data. Ideally, you have already gained initial experience in credit business or portfolio management at an asset manager or an institutional investor.
- You like to tackle new topics, work independently, and quickly find your way around systems.
- You enjoy working with others and communicate clearly and appropriately with colleagues and external partners.
- You express yourself confidently in German and conduct conversations in English at a negotiation level.
