Portrait of the School/Institution
The Salome Brunner Foundation is committed to around 300 children and young people with speech development disorders and learning difficulties. With our various schools, we see ourselves as an important part of the educational landscape of the Canton of Bern.
The Wabern Speech Therapy School is a special primary school for children and young people with a complex speech development disorder as well as an intellectual disability and comprises 21 classes from the primary level to the vocational preparation school year (BVS). Small classes allow for addressing the individual needs of the pupils. Speech therapy, occupational therapy, and physiotherapy are provided as individual therapy. Socio-educational care is offered by the school-complementary services of day school and boarding school.

Tasks
- 22 lessons of speech therapy (if the workload is too large, a part-time position can also be planned.)
- speech therapy support for pupils (2 lessons per week each)
- collaboration in the interdisciplinary team (school, day school, boarding school, medical therapy, speech therapy)
- exchange and participation in the speech therapy team and the school
Requirements
- completed studies in speech therapy
- enjoyment and interest in working with children and young people with special needs in the areas of language, communication, behaviour, and learning
- working days: Monday to Thursday
